Welcome to the SCS Upper School!

I am thrilled you are visiting our site. This is my first year as Upper School Principal of this beautifully blessed school, and I am absolutely humbled by and thankful to God for the opportunity to serve here. As an SCS Family, we are committed to leading by godly example and supporting our students in developing a closer walk with Christ while simultaneously excelling academically, socially, and emotionally. Well-rounded student achievement is our top priority.

At Salisbury Christian School, we believe in uplifting and empowering all to reach their full potential. Our school theme for this school year is I believe. As Upper School Principal, I believe in the Biblical foundation on which SCS stands. I believe in the SCS Mission, Vision, and Core Values. Ultimately, I believe in Jesus Christ and the work He has for me to do as the chief administrator, educational leader, and spiritual shepherd for the Upper School staff and students. With the support of our invested parents, Salisbury Christian School will continue to be a positive, life-changing environment where everybody is God’s somebody.

Advanced Courses

In an effort to ensure that all of our college-bound students are adequately challenged and prepared for their next step, we offer a variety of advanced courses to our high school students. These classes allow our students to dig deeper into subject matter they enjoy and – in the case of Advanced Placement (AP) and Dual-enrollment courses – to earn college credit before even graduating from high school. Notably, in partnership with Salisbury University and Wor-Wic Community College, SCS is the only school on the Eastern Shore to offer multiple Dual-enrollment classes on our own campus.
S.T.E.A.M. Integration

S.T.E.A.M. stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics and represents a forward-thinking approach to 21st century education. From Robotics courses to cross-curricular experiments between Math and Science classes, exposing students to skills that integrate the S.T.E.A.M. principles is one way we maintain student engagement and begin to develop the skill sets needed for future career success.
Leadership Development

As the oldest in an Infants - Grade 12 school, our Upper School students benefit from a plethora of opportunities to lead and mentor. Many of these experiences happen organically as the SCS Lower School inherently looks up to and seeks to emulate our middle and high schoolers. Other such opportunities are structured through leadership courses and through organizations like the National Honor Society, the Student Government Association, and the SCS House System.
Daily Biblical Integration

All Salisbury Christian School students, from Infants to Grade 12, benefit from daily Bible classes, building a Biblical foundation for their faith and being mentored along their faith journey by qualified teachers. This focus on Jesus Christ does not stop with Bible class, however; SCS ensures that every class taught, from Science to Music, is presented from a Biblical, God-honoring perspective.

Walking into the doors of SCS is honestly like walking into another family. Coming from a public school, I can say from the bottom of my heart that I am so blessed that God has not only blessed me with opportunities but also with a true and solid foundation to build my faith upon at this school. Salisbury Christian is not afraid to speak the name of Jesus over their students, as well as their fellow staff. As a student, I feel so loved and valued, and you can rest assured that Salisbury Christian School puts Christ first in everything they stand for.
