Instrumental

The Salisbury Christian School Band Department is designed to give students the opportunity to appreciate God’s gift of music through instrumental performance.  The program begins in 4th grade and continues through 12th grade, consisting of  four concert bands and one pep band.

Through the study of music, students experience high levels of self-expression, creativity, discipline, cooperation, and achievement.  Participation in band class enhances and promotes respect for self and others, problem solving, teamwork, goal setting, self-expression, memory skills, and commitment.

Each division of the SCS Band Department participates in showcases and competitions every year, with the middle school and high school divisions competing locally, regionally, and nationally - at Music in the Parks, the District 5 Band Festival, the District 5 Solo & Ensemble Festival, and more.  The band program builds naturally from one grade to the next in regard to difficulty and commitment level, with the goal of developing in our students a lifelong appreciation for the value of music.
