Lower School

Dr. Steven Lamkin, Lower School Principal

The emphasis of the Lower School at Salisbury Christian School is to partner with Christian parents and the church to provide an exciting educational environment that seeks to foster academic, spiritual and social growth in each child.  The faculty and staff are committed to serving their students, helping them to learn, promoting high academic standards and employing a variety of differentiated instructional methods in order to guide students in realizing their full potential.

The Lower School desires to provide a loving, nurturing, Christ-centered atmosphere that welcomes children to explore God’s world through everyday learning opportunities.  Our goal is to inspire children to develop an early love of learning as well as to develop an early understanding of who they are in Jesus Christ.  Lower School teachers work to stimulate children’s natural curiosity through Biblically-integrated activities and lessons designed to promote thinking skills and an eagerness to learn.

Lower School students have many opportunities to serve the world around them through participation in community service and mission projects.  Many special events, field trips, guest speakers and a variety of activities are planned throughout the school year to enrich the classroom curriculum and allow children to enjoy learning in different ways.
